Complete your application for your degree or certificate by Tuesday, April 29, 2025!

Please note: The deadline is only to appear in the Commencement program. There is no deadline to apply for a degree
or certificate.
Students may apply for an Associate Degree or Certificate of Achievement once all of the requirements have been fulfilled or if all of the requirements will be fulfilled by the end of the Spring 2025 semester.
Please click here for information on how to complete your degree or certificate application. To confirm the status of your degree, check your unofficial transcript in the campus
portal. If you already earned a degree, it will state “Awarded." It will state “Pending”
if your application has been received and is still in progress.
Students applying after the deadline and those completing their final requirements
in Summer 2024 are welcome to participate in Commencement and have their names and
degrees announced on the stage. However, their information will not appear in the
digital Commencement program.
Commencement Information
There is no maximum number of guests you can invite. No tickets or registration are needed.
We will be posting new information regarding "Grad Fest" at the SBCC Campus Store for your Commencement regalia. Check out the Campus Store link!
You need not "register" to walk. On May 23 at 3:30p.m., we will meet in the parking lot 2B in front of the PE building to line up and prepare for the procession to the field. We will also be Live Streaming the event for those who cannot attend in person. The link:
Planning Hint: Ceremony lasts approximately 2 hours. Out of respect for you and your fellow Graduates, we ask that you remain throughout the entire ceremony until it is fully completed. You earned this day, enjoy it to the fullest!
